Fresh Ideas For Christmas, A Nativity-A-Day

By Diana Davis

Looking for a way to keep Christ in your Christmas celebration this season? Try this Christian version of The Twelve Days of Christmas.

Purchase a nativity scene with twelve pieces, including animals, manger and baby Jesus. It can be an expensive nativity or a dollar-store set.

Select a recipient for your ministry project, such as a homebound church member, a person with an extended illness, or someone who will be alone this Christmas.

Deliver one piece of the nativity scene each day for twelve days, ending with baby Jesus on Christmas day.

This nativity-a-day project could be accomplished by a Sunday School class, with a different class member assigned to deliver the nativity piece each day. Deacons could do this project as a gift for their pastor. A family with children could do this ministry as an annual tradition.
