July Update From Your LifeWay Church Consultant

Greetings from LifeWay!

I know this update finds you in the midst of a busy schedule of summer ministry activities. As I have visited with many of you recently I have been personally blessed and encouraged to hear your wonderful reports about your experiences this summer with VBS, mission trips, and all kinds of summer camps. As you begin to shift your focus more fully toward your fall ministry, perhaps this update will help you.

Family Ministry

At LifeWay we know that you as a church leader have many things on your plate. We also know that reaching and ministering to families is toward the top of your list of priorities. Lifeway can help!

In recent months we have discovered that churches are involved in many ministry activities toward strengthening families. However, we have also discovered that not many churches have an intentional, comprehensive strategy to pull all their efforts together to make the greatest impact possible.

Recently I have been sharing with church leaders an evaluation tool that can help in critically thinking about family ministry actions as well as a resource guide. (Use the password “PASSWORD” to sign-in and access the documents.)

We have also discovered that most churches struggle in communicating well to their congregations and communities what their church has to offer toward helping families. Why not consider developing a communication tool overviewing what your church has to offer? Here is a link for you to download a brochure template that you can personalize for your church. Most churches can see greater results in their family ministries simply through more intentional coordination and communication without beginning anything new!

Connect, Grow, Serve, and Go

I have been talking with many of you this year about LifeWay’s new LifeSpan and especially the Adult portion—Connect, Grow, Serve, and Go. You can see some of my comments and learn more here.

Now, four lessons have been developed to help you teach these concepts to your church leaders and members. Here is a link for you to download these lessons. (Use the password “PASSWORD” to sign-in and access the document.)
