Biggest Challenges Reported By Churches

Have you seen the newest study on what small church pastors report as their biggest challenges? Here are their top ten:

  1. Not enough time
  2. Too much resistance to change
  3. Lack of commitment from members
  4. Too few workers
  5. Age of the congregation
  6. Lack of money
  7. Worldliness of the church
  8. Age of the pastor
  9. Too few people
  10. A changing community

Well, I find this list by pastors of small churches interesting. In fact, after personally serving for the last twenty years in larger size churches, I don’t think I’d change a single item on the list for churches of any size!

How about you and your church? What are your biggest challenges? How will you respond to overcome them?

Until next time…share the journey and enjoy the ride!
